Safe Place Outreach is a non profit organization created in 2006 with the vision to enhance and strengthen the Northeast Community through working with youth, elderly, families, single parents and community development projects.  Safe Place will provide child care and after school programs that will promote academic excellence, leadership skills, development of a greater self image and building great relationships.  Through mentoring, training opportunities, job opportunities and leadership development, Safe Place Outreach will create a continuous improvement of fulfilling the needs of educating and training to meet the need of the educational deficiency in the community for the next generation of leaders. 

Our ministry

Is to reach 100 under privileged youth this summer to first provide a two-day retreat for spiritual enrichment. The youth will participate in group meetings that will address subjects such as: Challenge to Change, Hero of Heroes, Self-Image - Made in the Image of your Creator, Restoring Family Unity, Media that destroys your mind, Social Life, Sexuality, and Courtship and much more. The retreat's objective and design is for youth to evaluate the present stage of their lives and to understand the importance of change in order to improve their conditions.

The non-profit organization is a multi-purpose, 501 (c) (3) certified, birthed in December 2006.  The goal of Safe Place is to provide a safe haven for the road of transformation to begin in the lives of poverty stricken individuals and communities.  The organization aims to assist families gain stability and become strong and independent.  Safe Place Outreach provides programs, activities, and implement initiatives that empower and encourage individuals regain control of their lives.  The services that will be provided to the community are childcare, afterschool programs, youth leadership/empowerment groups, business and financial workshops, women and children ministries (Groups and Training Programs – Family activities), job placement, and therapeutic groups (self-esteem training, mood stability, stress management, etc.)
